How in the world are they gonna make this movie?
They may make some 3+ hour thing like Return of the King . . . still it'll be tough.
Well, you could cut out half by removing the CONSTANT travelling....
Make it into 2 movies?
You could compact the middle of that book into half an hour of movie - 2 days tops at Grimaud, 1 or 2 stops in the country and Ron never leaves. Done.
Okay, maybe 35 minutes 'cause you need the part at the Ministry.
Maybe the visit to Godric's Hollow could be cut. Though poignant, it wouldn't impair the plot to lose it.
Then again, this is the surest thing in film in years. Who says they couldn't force a 4 hour marathon on us?
They have to have the moment at the grave and the house in the movie. Plus, they have to have his wand break!
Oh snap! How about a 10 part HBO miniseries?
Plus the stuff in the pensieve, the stuff in his head... a lot of things that would be difficult to achieve without breaking the flow. But hey, I'd sit through a 4-hr Potter finale.
